CFY's mission is to improve children's learning environment at home. CFY's computer-based home learning centers are designed by software experts and tested by students and education executives from around the country. CFY's workshops improve parents' confidence in helping their children learn. Its home learning centers supplement parents who themselves may have little education (the software provides the "knowledge of probability" while the parent provides the motivation). CFY turns "family time" into "learning time." CFY's program works with principals to set school-wide goals and trains teachers to create powerful links to at-home learning.

Through entrepreneurship education, the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), helps young people from low-income communities build skills and unlock their entrepreneurial creativity. Since 1987, NFTE has reached more than 280,000 young people, and currently has programs in 21 states and 12 countries. NFTE has more than 1,500 active Certified Entrepreneurship Teachers, and is continually improving its innovative entrepreneurship curriculum.

Since its creation, the powerful appeal of the "play and pump" idea, together with compelling images of children at play on our equipment, has contributed greatly to increased awareness of the water crisis.

From the outset Person-to-Person began by helping and educating. The efforts to help began with food and clothing and grew to include financial assistance for emergencies, camperships so children would be safe during the summer while their parents worked and college scholarship aid to help break the cycle of poverty.
